The Pocket Parks in Honeoye
were created over 10 years ago to provide a place to stop and visit with friends or rest while walking along Main Street.
The Streetscape Committee and volunteers designed benches with a local wood business, stamped concrete business and landscape company for an attractive calming sitting area. Over time, the Town of Richmond has taken over the maintenance of the Pocket Parks. Mary Lou Wenthe recently revitalized the landscaping to honor her mother, Marion Wenthe, a long time contributor to Honeoye.
The Queen Bees, a local group to formed for many who are aging alone, have contributed to Main Street along with Tekni-plex and the Carrier family with flowers and trees at one of the Pocket Parks.
