The Town of Richmond Recreation Department offers a wide variety of activities for all ages in the community throughout the year. The Towns of Bristol and Canadice also participate in the Richmond Recreation Department programs. We provide not only activities but part-time jobs for young adults in the community who serve as Recreation Assistants. For further information, contact the Richmond Recreation Department.
Multi-season Activities:
- The Fitness Room at HCS- The Fitness room at Honeoye Central School is currently CLOSED to the public.
- Senior activities - Open to those 50+, held monthly from October through April.

- Pickleball Workshop - Mechele Shumway & Patty Saxby will be teaching a 6-week Beginners Pickleball workshop. Classes start June 25th and will meet every Tues. from 11 to noon. Classes are June 25, July 2,9,16,23,30th. Rain dates TBD. Class size is limited to 8 people. Must be 18 or older. Participants must bring their own paddle & water bottle. Please dress appropriately for the activity. Balls will be provided by the town of Richmond.
Cost: $50.00 per person, payable by check or cash, no refunds. Please download and complete the waiver linked at the bottom of this page & return with fee to: Town of Richmond Rec. Dept., PO Box 145, Honeoye, NY 14471 - Aerobics Classes - Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8:30 am at the Richmond Town Hall.

Classes taught by certified American Red Cross lifeguards. Download the 2024 Swim Lessons Flyer and Registration Form at the bottom of this page.
- Activity Days at the Bristol Town Park are held weekly during the month of July. Workshops include basketball, lacrosse and soccer; participants can also enjoy basketball, kick ball, tennis and time on the playground.
If the weather is inclement, there will be arts and crafts in the pavilion. - Richmond Summer Recreation Programs at Sandy Bottom Park during the month of July include Mini Basketball Camp, Mini Soccer Camp, ports at the Beach, RMSC Bat Presentation, a giant slip and slide, and more.
Fall Activities:
- Youth Soccer on Saturday mornings for grades Pre-K through 6 during September and October.
- After School Tumbling program for grades K-3 in October. 4 week session / 1 hour per class.
- Girls' Basketball for grades 3-8. Girls 3-4th grade basketball runs November through February; girls 5-6th and 7-8th grade basketball runs January through March.
Fees vary; contact the Recreation Department for more info. - Boys' Basketball for grades 3-8. 3rd through 6th grade season runs from November through February. 7th and 8th grade season runs January through February.
Jerseys and shorts provided by Richmond Recreation Department.
Winter Activities:
- Women's Volleyball Leagues on Monday evenings from January through the beginning of April.
- Cheerleading for K-6th grades runs from mid-January through the beginning of February. Four Saturday morning practices at H.C.S., 1 hour sessions.
Spring Activities:
- Dance Classes - various types of dance for kids through adults
