Please Keep Your Dogs on a Leash in Richmond Town Parks.
It has been brought to the attention of Richmond Town officials, that a few people are walking their dogs in Town parks without a leash. Some people feel threatened by an unleashed dog, and people should not have to worry about a potential interaction with their dog. The Town of Richmond town code states “dogs are allowed in areas of the park except on the beach and around pavilions, provided that the dogs are on a leash under complete control of the dog’s attendant”. The Town would appreciate everyone’s cooperation. We feel it is important that everyone should be able to enjoy the beauty our Town has to offer.
